Leo Season 2021 Tarotscopes

Leo Season 2021 Tarotscopes are here, with a tarot card for each zodiac sign highlighting what your self-care and growth opportunities are from July 22 – August 22, 2021. Read for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs for the full picture.

Leo season is a time to have the courage to be your absolute self. To be unabashedly you. Let it all out. Do things in your unique style. Shine that damn light, bb.

The Lion gets a reputation for being attention-grabbing drama queens, but a grounded and balanced Leo is a warm presence that makes others feel comfortable to be themselves because they’re being themselves so openly and lovingly.

Leo, the fixed fire sign of the zodiac is ruled by the Sun, and is associated with the heart and the back, along with The Strength card in tarot.

Because this fixed fire lives within the heart, there’s a sense of self associated with this sign that shows us how much more open and present we can be when we’re not trying to shape ourselves into something else.

Use this season to:

  • Let your intuition/inner lioness dress you
  • Do a fire ritual to ignite your inner light
  • Embrace what you’re excited about (joy and enthusiasm are vulnerable and magnetic AF)
  • Allow that summer humidity take hold and let your main go wild
  • Turn the music upppp
  • Dance, play, frolick

What’s a Tarotscope?

It’s like a horoscope, but instead of interpreting planetary movements, I pull a card for each zodiac sign and share the themes and questions coming up at this time.

You can read the cards for your Sun, Rising, and Moon signs — in fact, I recommend it. If you don’t know your Sun (that’s the sign you’d typically read your horoscope for), Moon, and Rising/Ascendant signs, get your birth time and city, if possible, and plug it in over here.

In case you missed it, you can check out your Cancer Season Tarotscope here. Or book an in-depth tarot reading or breathwork session with me.

Leo Season 2021 Tarotscopes

We actually have several repeating tarot cards from Cancer Season, showing us some strong summer themes at play. Specifically the 3 of Pentacles, The Chariot, 10 of Swords, and The Lovers have come up again for our review. What this suggests to me about the collective is that we’re in a time of re-examining our actions, purposes, and patterns in order to find what’s no longer serving us and begin anew with a deeper sense of self and connection.

Here are your cards for Leo Season:

Aries – Ace of Wands Rx*

Leo Season Tarotscope for Aries

Of all the cards, I feel like the Ace of Wands is pure Aries fire energy. It’s the creative impulse. A big, “Just do it” ping from the universe. When we see this card in the reversal, the invitation into this passionate, inspirational energy is available, but there might be some hesitancy on your part to engage with it. Use this season so examine what might be holding you back from taking action, starting something new, or saying yes to an urge from your spirit. Is it out of fear? Is there a solid reason why you want to wait? Tap into your sense of enthusiasm. Explore the idea or possibilities. You don’t have to make a call just yet, but bring your awareness to the pulls you’re getting from that place of excitement within you.

Taurus – Page of Swords

Leo Season Tarotscope for Taurus

A breath of fresh air. What are you excited about? What do you want to share or communicate? Now’s not the time to worry about getting it perfect, it’s about trying things out based on newfound clarity and inspiration. Follow your curiosity and observe something from a new vantage point to help you on your way. What have you already learned and what do you want to learn more about? Pay close attention to these themes — especially within the realms of mental health, communication, and thought processes. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, embrace enthusiasm, and do things differently than you have in the past.

Gemini – 7 of Cups

Leo Season Tarotscope for Gemini

Let yourself float in this summer dreamtime. There’s a menu of choices in front of you but nothing feels quite right. Take this time to explore options. Date around, if you will. The right option might not even be on the table right now, so give yourself the time and space to be in the in-between — especially if you’re feeling urgency or self-imposed pressure to choose. Give yourself a break. This is a time to feel into things and be led by your heart, take that brilliant busy-body brain out of the driver’s seat for this one.

Cancer – 3 of Pentacles Rx*

Leo Season Tarotscope for Cancer

Work can be a powerful vehicle for self-development. At best, it combines skill, spiritual alignment, passion and enjoyment. But if you’re not feeling it, or feeling competition and comparison creep in, it’s time to break from your routine. While a vacation would be everyone’s ideal for breaking from routine, you can do this in small ways, too. Work differently — get up early or start later, mix up the order in which you do things, implement some boundaries around email and social and see how it goes. Doing work you’re uniquely suited for requires a co-creation with spirit and with others. If it’s not flowing, do it differently.

Leo – 8 of Swords

Leo Season Tarotscope for Leo

Feeling stuck sucks. But the good news is: You’re not actually stuck. This is your birthday season reminder that you are the hero of your own story (duh). You have the power to change your circumstances from the inside out, but you must start taking small steps forward to gain confidence in yourself. This particular instance requires you to feel your way forward, not logic your way there. Acknowledge your power to change and call upon self-trust and inner knowing to help you find the next right step.

Virgo – The Chariot Rx*

Leo Season Tarotscope for VIrgo

Transitions and upleveling are in the air. Where do you sense the tides are changing? Where is your heart leading you? There might be some degree of resistance to this next phase of life. In order to move forward, we must release the things that are holding us back — these are usually the kinds of things that look good or feel safe, but we know aren’t the right fit anymore. The brain wants to hold onto what’s familiar to keep us safe, while the heart and intuition know what’s ready to go. Use Friday’s Full Moon to help you illuminate and shed what needs to go.

Libra – King of Wands

Leo Season Tarotscope for Libra

It’s time to do you. This trailblazer energy urges you to create in alignment with exactly who you are and stop focusing on what others are doing. This might be hard for you Libra, as you are inclined to focus on the other. But in the case of building a life that’s true to you, you have to focus on your own inner fire  — your passions, excitement, creative impulses. What’s exciting and inspiring you? In an ideal world, what would you create? How would you do things? Find small and tangible ways to step into that energy daily to generate this King of Wands vibe.

Scorpio – 2 of Wands

Leo Season Tarotscope for Scorpio

Where do you want to go from here? The world is your oyster, how can you feel into what’s right for you? Now’s the time to decide on any changes you want to make in the way you channel your energy and what you focus on. Simultaneously, there’s a certain amount of receiving being asked of you at this time — be open to receiving inner guidance on how to move forward with balance. What you do with this energy and inspiration is totally up to you, but in order to take the right actions for you, you must be willing to listen.

Sagittarius – The Hierophant

Leo Season Tarotscope for Sagittarius

Where are you learning your biggest lessons right now? The Hierophant presents you with circumstances in which you become your own teacher. Now is a time for sorting through your beliefs — what was passed on to you from family, society, religion, and your ancestors — and parsing out what you actually believe from all of that. Your wisdom is important. And others will look to you for guidance (even if you don’t realize it). Pay attention to what wants to be channeled through you and the particular lens your experience and knowledge adds. Trust your inner wisdom and be open to learning more.

Capricorn – 10 of Swords

Leo Season Tarotscope for Capricorn

This is a repeat card from last month (!!), which usually means it’s asking for our attention extra. The persistent message: Don’t give up, do it differently. This way of thinking/doing has brought you to the end of this road, but that doesn’t mean the journey’s over. In fact, there’s a new beginning already on the horizon, but one that requires you to operate differently. One that breaks old cycles of thinking and limiting yourself. It’s time to have your own back. To get different results (i.e. not let the fear brain run the show), you must do things differently. What’s one radical change (radical doesn’t have to mean complicated) you know it’s time to make?

Aquarius – The Lovers Rx*

Leo Season Tarotscope for Aquarius

Another repeat card from last month, except this time we’re seeing it in the reversal*, which invites us to review and release. Release the breath. Release the notion that something defines you. Instead, focus on what you feel naturally connected to. Our interconnectedness can remind us of who we are. There’s a gripping in the Lovers Rx, a holding onto something outside of ourselves that we feel like we need to be who we are. The balm is the release that grip and observe the lightness that comes from a little more space and freedom. You don’t have to abandon what you want to hold onto — just put it down and open up to other possibilities. Get into your body. Get into your breath.

Pisces – The Moon Rx*

Leo Season Tarotscope for Pisces

Instead of doing more to distract yourself from the uncertainty you find yourself in, can you do less? Can you just be? A hard ask I know, but if anyone can, it’s you sweet Pisces. This card is ruled by Pisces, so this tarot wisdom is an innate part of you. You might feel like you’re regressing, but that’s the nature of being in the spiral of healing. Return to your own rhythms and cycles to hold you and find a sense of self trust and self acceptance. Releasing the fear and control of the (over)thinking mind and embracing that unshakable trust in yourself will awaken wisdom that can’t be found elsewhere. And if you find yourself trying to divert and busy yourself from the deep stuff, pause and give the depths 5 minutes.

*If you’re wondering what Rx means: Rx means reversal (or an upside down card). I love reversed cards because they bring a different flavor to the meaning of a card. I read them as something to dive deeper with, a more internal facing energy — kind of like a retrograde planet. There’s nothing to fear in a reversal, only different information. The nuanced meanings are reflected in my interpretations/write ups.
