Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes are here, with a tarot card for each zodiac sign highlighting what your self-care and growth opportunities are from October 23-November 21, 2021. Read for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs for the full picture.

Welcome to Scorpio Season — the fact that it’s also the height of Spooky Season is no coincidence. While the sun is in Scorpio, we celebrate holidays like Samhain, Halloween, and Dia de Los Muertos — all representations of our connection to those who have died. It’s considered the time of year when the veil between the living and spirit worlds is the thinnest.

Associated with Death in the Tarot and ruled by Mars and Pluto, Scorpio is all about the symbolic deaths and destruction that we experience daily. This more shadowy energy scares some people, as death is something we try to ignore or keep separate. But it’s present everywhere, in all the cycles we experience.

During this time, we’re immersed in themes of shedding, dying and release. If you live in a place that experiences seasons (in the Northern Hemisphere), you’ll see this reflected in the trees and plant life around you. But we’re all undergoing these themes internally, too, as we prepare for the inward hibernation time of winter.

These natural rhythms can get buried in our modern world, but we still feel them on an energetic and bodily level. As the seasons shift, we crave the pace and lessons that sync up with nature.

And Scorpio Season is one of significant shifts, change, and letting go. A crucial point in the cycle of the year that allows us to release what we no longer need and process before jumping to a fresh start.

Scorpio is our alchemist. They transform what was by composting it into something new. By allowing our past experiences and patterns to fall away, we create something new. The key is surrendering to the changes that are calling you and actually letting go of the things you can’t control.

Scorpio doesn’t shy away from the shadow. They encourage us to mine our shadow for our inner gifts and find a new sense of wholeness by bringing it to light.

When out of alignment, Scorpio can feel overly intense, aggressive, defensive, or closed off. But at their core, this fixed water sign is more about still waters running deep and wanting to connect on a real real level.

Intimacy, intuition, and connection are the high key way to access Scorpio’s powers.

Use this Scorpio energy to:

  • Let that thing go
  • Grieve the changes you’re undergoing
  • Allow yourself to integrate your experiences — feel your feelings about it, rest, recover
  • Find anchors that help you stay grounded when you feel like you want to control it all
  • Get cozy
  • Do shadow work
  • Mine your psychic depths

The vibe:  Candles, candle magic, and burning rituals / Cozy-spooky as a seasonal lifestyle / Evening walks with your ride or die / Moody playlists / Getting out your tarot deck / Rocking your inner witch archetype

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes

What’s a Tarotscope?

It’s like a horoscope, but instead of interpreting planetary movements, I pull a card for each zodiac sign and share the themes and questions coming up at this time.

You can read the cards for your Sun, Rising, and Moon signs — in fact, I recommend it. If you don’t know your Sun (that’s the sign you’d typically read your horoscope for), Moon, and Rising/Ascendant signs, get your birth time and city, if possible, and plug it in over here.

In case you missed it, you can check out your LIbra Season Tarotscope here

Check out my class: Tarot Foundations for Intuitive Witches to learn the cards and dive deep into their themes through visioning, breathwork, and more.

Here are your cards for Scorpio Season:

Aries – Wheel of Fortune

Scorpio Season Tarotscopes for Aries

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changesss. Things are shifting, but like, when are they not? But you’ll be feeling these transitions more intensely this Scorpio Season. That also means you’ll have more awareness to make conscious choices around what you actively want to change, too. Pay attention to how you react when faced with the kinds of changes you can’t control. How can you stay centered in yourself and trust that you’ll be able to adapt? Focus on your perspective and your approach as opposed to trying to control. Find practices/tools/routines to keep you grounded and help you maintain the perspective you want to have.

Taurus – 8 of Pentacles

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Taurus

You’re in a season of putting in the work. Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep refining. It may not always be easy to find your rhythm, but when you do, the flow and expansion you’ll experience will shift your mindset. It’s about finding enjoyment in the journey this month. Notice the new things you discover about yourself when you show up with an openness each day, despite your varying states. Find your magic in the mundane. P.S. I’m not just talking about work/a job here, this can be about your spiritual practice, a skill you’re learning, tapping into a different part of yourself, etc.

Gemini – 2 of Swords

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Gemini

Your inner wisdom needs to be front and center this Scorpio Season. You have a great ability to process a lot of information, but right now, the most important decisions and calls in your life need to be self-sourced. You have the facts, you have the opinions, now it’s time to block out the external noise and go inward to examine what’s true and correct for you. No one else can do this for you, and it’s your job to give yourself the time and space to let your knowledge come through. Practice allowing for this space by going for a walk alone (without distractions), taking a couple of minutes to just breathe, getting outside, breathwork, or whatever else lets the busy mind take a backseat.

Cancer – The Chariot

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Cancer

It’s your card Cancer! (The Chariot is ruled by Cancer.) You can actually think of the Chariot as a crabshell. And this energy usually comes around when we’re moving into a big transition and graduating to a new phase of life. It’s a reminder that some of the things we’ve done/held onto to get us to this stage have served their purpose, but are ready to be shed. We need a different crabshell to get us to where we want to go, but leaving the old ways behind can make us feel vulnerable and even stuck if we’re too scared to change. Keep checking in with your intuition and heart space to let you know you’re ok to let things go. If it’s holding you back, it’s probably time to say goodbye.

Leo – Justice

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Leo

Knowing what’s right for you can hit you in an instant. The clarity around your truth and what’s correct for you tends to slice through quickly and sharply. It’s all the things that come up around that truth that make it difficult to take action on — our preferences, the opinions of others, not wanting to confront something, biases, and fear of change can all muddy the path between our truth and doing what’s right and in accordance with that truth. Justice asks you to cut through the bullshit and honor what’s right for you this month. It’s not always easy, but the load is lightened when you make the decision.

Virgo – 7 of Swords

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Virgo

Not feeling like you’re enough will continue to rob you of what you actually have in the present moment. This isn’t meant to bring you down or scare you, but remind you to focus on what you already hold and reinforce that you are, in fact, enough. Focus on what you’ve already accomplished. How that’s totally unique and special to you. And how you’ve actively made shifts and changed to align with who you are. Now is a good time to commit to a comparison detox. Stop looking to others to see what they have that you don’t, or how others are doing things. Come back to yourself and start exploring what you’re already grateful for and what you’d actually like for your life, independent of outside pressures.

Libra – Judgement Rx*

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Libra

An awakening is on deck, but you’re being called to internalize some lessons around releasing judgements and embracing love. Where do you still need to practice forgiveness? What grudges are you still holding? We can ask these questions about others and ourselves equally. Usually when we can’t forgive others, there are some places we haven’t been able to forgive ourselves. Judgement is a powerful energy that can make it easier for us to show more love to ourselves, and in turn, others. There’s something in your grip that wants to be released this season, explore that.

Scorpio – King of Cups Rx*

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Scorpio

Still waters run deep could be the catchphrase of this King AND you, Scorpio. As a fixed water sign, your depth of feeling, intuition, and power are major. But these depths require keeping a healthy and checked ecosystem to sustain and maintain a sense of balance. The King of Cups reminds us to find ways to center, ground and steady ourselves so we can hold our own feelings, emotions, and gifts in a harmonious way. This month, focus on the supportive practices that help you hold multiple truths, ups and downs, and your multifaceted nature — this is what emotional maturity looks like. This King has the capacity to help guide other healers, but only when they make space for their own healing process, too.

Sagittarius – 8 of Swords

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Sagittarius

Take a breath and then take the next right step. You aren’t stuck, but no one is going to move the needle for you. You’re the hero in your own story here, and this time you must feel into the way forward instead of logic-ing your way there. Get creative. Make a paradoxical move (something different than you’ve done before to get a different result). Don’t let the brain scare you into staying still. It’s time to make a move — a baby step is an excellent start. Then make another.

Capricorn – Death Rx*

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Capricorn

Someone just had to get THE official card of Scorpio Season, and you’re the lucky cutie, Capricorn. There’s a fear of change and letting go built into the Death card, and seeing it reversed just drives home that hesitancy. Change is hard, and it’s okay to acknowledge and really feel that. Actually, you should. Be more gentle with yourself during this time, knowing that your life and you as a person are transforming. Let nature be your guide here, let the leaves of your life that have peaked fall away. Everything in nature is reused, composted, and transformed. It can be a beautiful time if you can allow yourself to be in both the letting go phase and the beginning of something new.

Aquarius – Queen of Pentacles Rx*

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Aquarius

Come back to your body, Aquarius. I know it’s easy to live up in the air, the mind, the future, and the ether of technology, but this Queen is calling you to focus on your roots (and root chakra), and the wisdom that resides in that human suit of yours. Make sure you’re meeting your most basic and sensory needs first — nourishment, being well watered, with enough sleep, and in an environment that feels stable and safe to you. There is magic and spiritual connection all around us in the most mundane of these things. This Queen finds magic in their natural rhythms and in nature, you’re being called to put your focus there.

Pisces – Knight of Swords

Scorpio Season 2021 Tarotscopes for Pisces

Now’s the time to charge, Pisces. If you needed a little extra wind in your sails, this is it. Be like the burst of color on the fall foliage — go out at peak beauty and blazing colors before heading underground for the winter. If there’s a deadline or something you’ve been wanting to accomplish, use the fresh air of this month to help get you there. Stay focused on your vision/idea to propel you forward quickly. But remember to nourish your body and nervous system deeply when it’s done. This energy can only take you so far before burnout creeps up.

*If you’re wondering what Rx means:

Rx means reversal (or an upside down card). I love reversed cards because they bring a different flavor to the meaning. I read them as something to dive deeper with, a more internal facing energy — kind of like a retrograde planet. The nuanced meanings are reflected in my interpretations/write ups about the card. Read more about reversals here.
